A toothbrush cleans the visible surfaces of your teeth; the gaps between them stay out of its reach. These straight (I-shaped) interdental brushes help clean those gaps, as well as around the brackets of braces or under a bridge.

Which size?
Each size has its colour: pink 0.6 mm, blue 0.7 mm, green 0.8 mm, yellow 1 to 1.2 mm, orange 1.2 to 1.5 mm (sizes as stated by the supplier). The right brush slides in without forcing and lightly rubs the sides of the gap; if it feels loose, go one size up, if it gets stuck, one size down. Gaps are not all the same width: many people use two sizes. If in doubt, start with the finest and ask your dentist at your next check-up.
How to use
Slide the brush gently into the gap, move it back and forth two or three times, then go to the next gap. Rinse it with water after use; replace it as soon as the filaments flatten or the wire bends.
