In detail
Everything about this product
A floss pick is floss without winding it around your fingers: the floss is already stretched between the two prongs of a small arc, and you slide it between two teeth with one hand. Handy at the office, when travelling, or for anyone who finds a floss roll tedious.
What you get
- 150 or 450 disposable floss picks, green
- A slim arc holding the floss taut, a ridged handle for grip, a curved tip that works as a toothpick
- Mint flavoured, according to the supplier’s listing
- Plastic handle (“polymer” according to the supplier)
How to use
Slide the floss between two teeth with a gentle sawing motion, press it against one tooth then the neighbouring one while moving gently upwards, then take it out. Rinse the floss between gaps if needed. One pick per session, then into the bin.
150 or 450?
At one pick a day, 150 last about five months for one person; 450 about fifteen months, or five months for a household of three. The 450 pack works out cheaper per pick.

Frequently asked questions
Floss pick or floss roll?
Both clean between the teeth. A pick is used one-handed with no winding, handy when starting out or on the go; a roll lets you use a fresh section of floss for each gap.
What is the tip for?
The other end of the handle is thin and curved: it works as a toothpick to dislodge visible debris between two teeth. Use it gently, without pressing on the gum or forcing it into a tight gap.
How long does a pack last?
At one pick a day, the pack of 150 lasts about five months for one person; the 450 pack about fifteen months, or five months for three people. The big pack is cheaper per pick.
What if the floss frays?
In a very tight contact, floss can fray: just take a new pick. Ease it in with a gentle sawing motion rather than forcing it in one go; it is also more comfortable for the gum.
