Same format as the original heads for Oral-B oscillating-rotating brushes — a round head that clicks onto the handle shaft — but in the model the manufacturer calls “Soft”: its softer version of the “Standard” model. This is the head to choose if you find the standard head too firm or if your gums are sensitive. Bleeding that persists, on the other hand, deserves your dentist’s opinion.

Is it really softer?
The manufacturer distinguishes this “Soft” model from its “Standard” one, but publishes neither the stiffness nor the diameter of the bristles, so we cannot put a figure on it. If you are unsure, start with the pack of 4 to try it.
Does it treat gums?
No. A soft head cleans the gum line gently but treats nothing. If your gums bleed regularly, see your dentist; day to day, your toothpaste and cleaning between the teeth matter as much as the head.
How often should I change the head?
Every 3 months, or sooner if the bristles splay: a worn head cleans less well. The pack of 4 lasts a year for one person; the pack of 24 lasts six years, or two years for a family of three.
