Frequently asked questions

Which toothbrush should I use with braces?

A soft toothbrush for the tooth surfaces, then an end-tuft toothbrush or an interdental brush around each bracket and under the wire. Follow your orthodontist’s instructions first.

How do I get floss under the archwire?

With floss that has a built-in threader, whose stiff end slides under the archwire, or with a floss threader: pass your usual floss through the loop, then guide the tip under the wire of the braces.

How should I store an aligner during meals?

In a closed case, never in a paper napkin, where it often ends up in the bin. Rinse it before putting it away and clean it every day with a dedicated brush.

With braces, plaque clings around each bracket and under the wire, where a regular toothbrush struggles to reach. With an aligner or a removable retainer, it is the appliance itself that needs cleaning and storing. This page brings together the tools for both situations.

Braces and fixed appliances

The care kit brings the essentials together in one pouch: braces brush, travel toothbrush, interdental brush, floss, floss threaders, wax, mirror and sand timer. The end-tuft toothbrush reaches the brackets one by one, angled interdental brushes pass under the wire, floss with a built-in threader and floss threaders slide under the archwire. The Fairywill 5020E water flosser, or the Waterpik compatible orthodontic tips, rinse around the brackets.

Aligners and removable appliances

The case with a silicone seal protects the aligner during meals, and the two-headed brush cleans its surfaces and corners. These products do not replace your orthodontist’s instructions. Shipped by our logistics partner, tracked delivery in 7 to 12 working days.
