Buying guide

Buying guide by problem

Start from what bothers you. For each problem: what is really going on, a three-step routine (toothpaste, accessory, the right gesture), the products to add to your cart and the advice article to go further. Not sure what you need? The quiz points you in the right direction in two minutes.

01

Coffee, tea or wine stains

The tannins and pigments in coffee, tea and red wine bind to the thin film that covers the enamel. These are surface stains: regular brushing with a polishing silica fades them little by little, without changing the natural shade of the tooth.

Your routine

  1. Toothpaste: Anti-Coffee Stains Morning and evening, two minutes: its micro-polishing silica lifts the tannins, brush after brush.
  2. Accessory: Reusable stainless steel straws, less contact with your front teeth For iced coffee, tea or soft drinks: drinking through a straw limits contact with your front teeth.
  3. GestureAfter a cup, drink a glass of water. After wine or an acidic drink, wait about half an hour before brushing.

First changes after 2 to 3 weeks depending on how old the stains are. Stained tartar only comes off with scaling.

Tobacco stains

Tar and nicotine leave yellow-brown deposits that cling to enamel and tartar, and an odour that lingers in the mouth. Surface deposits fade with a polishing toothpaste; those trapped in tartar need scaling.

Your routine

  1. Toothpaste: Anti-Tobacco Stains Morning and evening: its silica polishes nicotine deposits and its zinc helps neutralise tobacco odour.
  2. Accessory: Polishing eraser for surface stains, coffee, tea, tobacco, 1, 3 or 5 From time to time, on a specific stain on a healthy tooth. Never on a crown, a veneer or fragile enamel.
  3. GestureBrush your tongue too, as it holds the odour, and have your teeth checked by a dentist at least once a year.

A toothpaste replaces neither quitting smoking nor regular dental check-ups.

03

Bad breath

Most of the time it comes from bacteria on the back of the tongue and between the teeth, not from the stomach. A toothpaste freshens; cleaning the tongue and the spaces between the teeth is what tackles the cause.

Your routine

  1. Toothpaste: Classic Mint Twice a day, for a clean mouth and minty freshness.
  2. Accessory: Stainless steel tongue scraper, reusable, 10 seconds each morning, 1 or 2 Every morning after brushing: two or three strokes, from the back of the tongue to the tip.
  3. GestureIn the evening, use floss or an interdental brush, and drink water during the day: a dry mouth smells stronger.

If the odour persists despite good hygiene, talk to your dentist: your gums may be the cause.

Sensitive gums and teeth

Gums that bleed when brushing most often signal plaque left along the gum line. Teeth that react to cold often have an exposed neck or worn enamel. In both cases, a gentle gesture matters as much as the product.

Your routine

  1. Toothpaste: Gentle Coconut Whitening The gentlest formula in the range: its coconut oil softens brushing, with a coconut-mint taste.
  2. Accessory: Ultra-soft toothbrushes, for sensitive gums, pack of 10 or 20 Very fine, dense bristles to brush along the gum line without irritating it.
  3. GestureBrush without pressing, from the gum towards the tooth, then spit without rinsing heavily to leave the fluoride in contact with your teeth.

Bleeding that lasts, sharp pain or a loose tooth: see a dentist. A toothpaste does not replace a diagnosis.

Braces and aligners

Each bracket creates nooks where plaque builds up, and an aligner traps what is left after a meal against the enamel. The sign to watch for: white spots around the brackets, the first stage of demineralisation.

Your routine

  1. Toothpaste: Classic Mint A toothpaste with 1450 ppm fluoride, the adult reference dose, after every meal if possible.
  2. Accessory: End-tuft toothbrush, reaches braces and back molars, 4 or 8 Its small tuft goes around each bracket and under the wire, where the large brush head only skims past.
  3. GestureBrush above, then below each bracket. With aligners, brush your teeth before putting the aligner back in, and keep it in its case during meals.

These accessories do not replace your orthodontist's instructions. White spots around the brackets: mention them without waiting for your next appointment.

06

Children

What matters first is the fluoride dose by age: a smear the size of a grain of rice before age 3, a pea-sized amount from 3 to 6. Our toothpastes contain 1450 ppm and are used from age 6, under adult supervision.

Your routine

  1. Toothpaste: Classic Mint From age 6, morning and evening, under adult supervision.
  2. Accessory: 2-minute toothbrushing sand timer, kids know when they’re done It makes the recommended two minutes visible: the child turns it over and brushes until the sand has run through.
  3. GestureThe child starts, an adult finishes, especially in the evening, until around age 7 or 8. Change the toothbrush about every three months.

Before age 6, ask your dentist for a suitable toothpaste: we do not sell any for that age.

When travelling

On the move, the toothbrush often ends up shut away damp in a toiletry bag, where it dries poorly. The idea: protect the head without smothering it, and keep the same routine as at home.

Your routine

  1. Toothpaste: Classic Mint Your usual toothpaste, so nothing changes: two minutes, morning and evening.
  2. Accessory: Foldable travel toothbrush, 10 cm folded, fits in a pocket Folded, it measures about 10 cm: the head tucks into the handle, which doubles as its case.
  3. GestureRinse, shake and let the brush dry for a few minutes before packing it.

Want some sparkle: tooth gems

A tooth gem is a decorative cosmetic jewel, bonded temporarily (1 to 4 weeks) to a healthy tooth. It is for adults only and is never placed on a crown, a veneer or braces. We do not sell bonding resin: choose one whose manufacturer publishes its composition, or have it applied in a salon.

Your routine

  1. Toothpaste: Activated Charcoal Whitening Before application, a clean tooth and a bright smile: careful brushing, two minutes.
  2. Accessory: Foldable travel toothbrush, 10 cm folded, fits in a pocket The wax picks up the crystal without your fingers, which would dull its cut face.
  3. GestureKeep the tooth dry during application with a cotton roll, then brush gently around the gem.

Decorative cosmetic item, with no medical purpose. Try the look on the simulator on the Tooth gems page before buying.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose a toothpaste for my problem?

Start from the cause: coffee or tea stains, tobacco stains, breath, sensitivity. Each SADOER formula targets one need, on the same base (1450 ppm fluoride, peroxide-free). The comparison puts all 8 side by side; if in doubt, the quiz guides you.

Can a toothpaste whiten teeth?

No. A toothpaste helps fade surface stains and keeps teeth bright; the natural shade of the tooth, which comes from inside, does not change. Our 8 formulas are peroxide-free and contain no chemical bleaching agent.

Which accessories do I need with braces?

A single-tuft brush for around the brackets, interdental brushes or floss with a threader to get under the wire, and a case to store your aligner during meals. They complement your orthodontist's instructions without replacing them.

From what age can your toothpastes be used?

From age 6, under adult supervision: they contain 1450 ppm fluoride. Before age 6, a toothpaste suited to the child's age is needed; ask your dentist for advice. We do not sell any for children under 6.

Are tooth gems suitable for everyone?

No. They are for adults with healthy teeth, applied temporarily (1 to 4 weeks) and never on a crown, a veneer or braces. They are decorative cosmetic items with no medical purpose. We do not sell bonding resin.

When should I see a dentist?

If your gums have been bleeding for several days, if a tooth hurts or moves, if bad breath persists despite good hygiene, or if white spots appear around braces. A toothpaste replaces neither a diagnosis nor scaling.
